How to wrap a Father’s Day Gift (Video)

March 13, 2017

Hey! Father’s Day countdown has started! 6 days left! So hurry up, buy a nice thing (novels, graphic novels and comics are always a good idea) and find a nice way to wrap the gift to make it more special for him.
One of our favorites is making a suit and tie using wrapping paper. Let’s take a look to this tutorial to learn how to wrap a box or a book by MundoaParty.

As you can see on the video above, you will need these materials:

  • Gift (better if it’s rectangular or squared shaped. If not, put it into a box)
  • Light brown kraft paper
  • Black ribbon
  •  Black cardboard
  • Scissors
  • Invisible tape

We recommend you to watch carefully the video to learn the steps, but, basically, you must wrap the gift using kraft paper as you usually do, but you left extra paper on the top to make the collar. This is the most important step and you must make two cuts to fold it properly after putting around the black ribbon as a tie and fold the paper twice. Use the tape to fix it and it would be easier for you. Then, using a origami technique, you fold the paper to make the collar shape and, if it where a regular tie, you make the knot. Now comes the “Wow effect”: Just with one black cardboard and two folds you can add the jacket to the composition!

It’s a really good way to wrap a Father’s Day Gift and we are sure that your dad will appreciate it.

If you decide to make it, please, send us pics to our social networks (@howtowrapgifts on Twitter and How to Wrap Gifts on Facebook) an we will share it with our followers. Tell us if your father has loved the idea. We hope you have a really good family day!
